Figaro Academy of Music provides a unique experience and opportunity for students to learn the art and the joy of making music.  We have assembled an extraordinary group of teachers, all of whom are well-known international performing artists.  Because all of our teachers have such a passion for making music, they are able to instill in the students their enthusiasm, while at the same time carefully guiding their progress from beginner to competent musician.   We consider ourselves to be learners as much as our students, and we take great pleasure in sharing this journey of discovery and accomplishment with our fellow musicians (as we consider our students to be).

Our teachers are highly qualified educators with many years of teaching experience at all levels, from beginner to concert artist.  Each of our teachers holds an advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in music and is commited to educational excellence.  Students enjoy many performing opportunities throughout the year, including two formal studio recitals.

We accept beginners from age five to adult, transfer students, second starts, other teachers for continuing professional development, and concert artists preparing for competition.  We are also the only music school in the DFW area to offer high-quality lessons in Spanish.  We currently offer private instruction in piano, violin, viola, cello, string bass, voice and guitar.

The first step in the enrollment process is to arrange a time for a personal interview.  At this interview, we will discuss your background and goals to determine the best course of study for you.  We will also explain studio policies, scheduling, tuition, and will discuss any other concerns that you may have.  We do not charge any fee for the interview for two reasons.  First, we do not use paid lesson time to discuss studio policies.  Second, we want you to be allowed to make an informed decision.  We also feel that the first introduction in person between a student and teacher should not be at the first lesson.
